We affirm the Holy Bible as the inspired Word of God, and we believe it is the sole authority for all statements of faith and practice. It is the Living Word of God and it is God's final revelation to His people. We believe that salvation is by grace through faith alone in Jesus Christ. We further believe that a person who has been justified will be sanctified in Christ.
What is the Gospel?
We long to be a church centered on the gospel of Jesus Christ. What does this mean?
The gospel is the good news of God’s grace invading the darkness of this world. It is the grand narrative of creation, fall, redemption, and consummation ordained by God and orchestrated through the life, death, resurrection, and ascension of Jesus Christ. Christ’s crucifixion is the heart of the gospel. His resurrection is the power of the gospel. His ascension is the glory of the gospel.
Christ’s death is a substitutionary and propitiatory sacrifice to God for our sins. It satisfies the demands of God’s holy justice and appeases His holy wrath. It also demonstrates His mysterious love and reveals His amazing grace. Jesus Christ is the only mediator between God and man. There is no other name by which men can be saved. At the heart of all sound doctrine is the cross of Jesus Christ and the infinite privilege that redeemed sinners have in glorifying God because of what He has accomplished.
Therefore, we want all that takes place in our hearts, church, and ministries to proceed from and be related to the gospel.

Our Church Covenant
“Having been led by the Spirit of God to receive the Lord Jesus Christ as our Savior; and on the profession of our faith, having been baptized in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, we do now in the presence of God and this assembly most solemnly and joyfully enter into this covenant with one another, as one body in Christ.
We engage by the aid of the Holy Spirit, to walk together in Christian love; to strive for the advancement of the church in knowledge and holiness; to give it a place in our affection, prayers and service above any organization; to sustain its worship, ordinances, discipline, and doctrine; to contribute cheerfully and regularly, as God has prospered us, for the support of a faithful and evangelical ministry, the relief of the poor and the spread of the Gospel throughout the world. In case of difference of opinion in the church, we will strive to avoid a contentious spirit, and if we cannot unanimously agree, we will cheerfully recognize the right of the majority to govern.
We also engage in family and independent devotion; to study diligently the word of God; to religiously educate our children; to seek the salvation of our kindred and acquaintances; endeavoring in the purity of heart and good will towards all men to exemplify our faith.
We further engage to watch over, to pray for, to exhort each other unto every good word and work; to guard each other’s reputation, thinking no evil, and backbiting not with our tongues, we will return good for evil, be just and honest, truthful and honorable in all our dealings; we will be meek, loving and forgiving as we have been forgiven, to participate in each other’s joys and with tender sympathy bear one another’s burdens and sorrows; to cultivate Christian courtesy; to be slow to anger or take offense, being always ready for reconciliation. When we elect to leave this body of believers, we will seek as soon as possible to unite with another Baptist Church to carry out the spirit of this covenant and the principles of God’s word.”
